The CaKe and PaRtY

Ahoy there Mateys! We had a pirate party. This is the only picture I got of all the pirates. I know sad. I can't take pictures and be party mommy. OK I was too involved and spaced the camera. We made our own treasure maps, went on a treasure hunt to find our pirate scrubs, hit candy out of a pinata, ate pizza and cupcakes.

Preston is always surprised when he opens presents.
For weeks all he wanted was a monster truck remote control. He loves monster trucks. Two days before his birthday Wesley got a watch and so then that is all he wanted. He told everyone he wanted a watch. He was fine with getting a remote control truck from us, but when Grandma Nee and Grandpa's present came in the mail which was a game he could only say, "I wanted a watch. I only want a watch. Can I have a watch." We called Grandma to say thank you for the present and Preston said it again to her. KIDS?

For a pirate party you have got to have a chest full of treasure!

Preston couldn't wait to eat all the treats.

PRESTON is Four

Preston Karl Madsen

is a clown. He loves to make you laugh and he loves to laugh himself. He follows Wesley and Riley everywhere. He LOVES to play sports. You can come over any day and Preston has Wesley's and Riley's baseball or soccer cloths on. Yes they are five times too big and he has to roll them up a few times. He goes through three outfits a day.
Preston has a one track mind and that is play and play hard. He loves to be with friends. When it gets quite you know there is trouble. Anything Preston wants to do he does well. He is way beyond a normal four year old skill level. He is so fun to be around. We love him!

Egg Hunting

This is Hunting for eggs DESERT STYLE.
For the egg hunt we hide money and candy in the eggs. The kids loved it.

Wesley found clay pigeons on top of this poky thing. Anyone know what they are called? Someone made his day by leaving them. I say junk he says treasure. There are so many treasures in this world. He has a box to show for it.
Riley didn't follow the boys and she found the most money this year. She was kind and shared.

My cute BOYS!!

This picture was seconds before Annie fell out onto her head.
We did realize how mobil she was. So sorry baby Annie

Riley is an explorer. She is not afraid of much.
She climbs high and is fine until she wants to get back down.

What I want for Christmas

Oh my Riley has lost her tooth. This tooth takes the record. It hung on for 6 months. Riley would barely let you touch the tooth. Her fingers were in her mouth constantly, but there was no results. This past week it was really loose, but Riley hates feeling pain so she would just wiggle it with her tongue and fingers until it hurt then stop. She looked funny with her tooth poking out past the the rest. Brian asked her to let him look at it and he just pulled and it came out. Riley is the one that needs help in tooth pulling. Her other teeth come in before the old one comes out.

NO MORE training wheels

Preston has been begging to have the training wheels taken off of his bike. We told him not until he can reach the ground. Well he has waited and he showed us that he could touch the ground. On his first try he took off. There wasn't any crashing or crying. I guess children know when they are ready to take the next step. As a parent I don't want any pain, but that is how they grow. Three years old and riding a bike without support was just a scary thought.
