IT'S A GIRL

It is a miracle!
Tuesday we found what the baby is going to be. It is a girl. We were so surprised because Madsens only produce boys. We never thought we would have another girl. There were polls taken and they were all for a boy. The only people that truly thought I would have a girl were the women at school. They had all kinds of opinions. They said they could tell it was a girl because of the way I was carrying the baby. What ever! I hate they are right. Their heads got bigger.
Brian told the kids that we were having a baby dog and this was their reaction.

Wesley was just alittle sad. He said "what am I going to do with a girl?" He is really concerned that the Madsen name isn't going to be passed down. We told him that he would just have to have boy himself one day.

Turning 3

PRESTON KARL MADSEN
Just had a Birthday!
This is a perfect picture for Preston.
He wants to keep up with the other kids
they are so much older than him. His little days are flying by.
He loves baseball and lives for the day he will play real baseball.
This boy feeds off attention. He will continue doing funny
things just to get a few laughs. Each day is a new adventure with you!
We love you Preston!

Preston couldn't wait to dig into his cake.

He took a couple bites then decided to share with the family.

He loved opening presents. He couldn't believe he
had a bat just like Riley and Wesley.

We love the MOUNTAIN!!

This picture took so much effort.
All three needed to be somewhere else.
Climbing rocks, building dams, and throwing rocks in the stream.

This is the first trickle of water that
we have seen in
two years of exploring up the Mountain.

Riley is the climber in the family.
She is always trying to get as high as she can.

Wesley took a moment out of dam building to take the picture.
We take any picture we can get of him.
Right now pictures hold him back.

Preston couldn't stop throwing rocks in the water.
Every time he hit the water he would scream "I got it".

Opening Day at the ball park

Wesley is on the A's this year. A new challenge for him this year was that he had to try out for the coaches show them his skills. Then the coaches got together and had a draft.

Riley loves to roller-skate. Takes you back to when you were little and went to Classic Rollerskating rink in Sandy.

Preston just wants to play on his baseball field. He loves the game so much. He walks around the house with Wesley's cleats on and bat and glove in hand. He can't wait for his turn.

We all scream for ice cream! We love ice cream!

Turning 9

Look who turned 9 years old
WESLEY ROSS MADSEN
Wesley is in the 3rd Grade now and Brian and I just can't believe it. Time has flown by. You are an amazing young boy. Full of life and joy. You are always seeking for knowledge. A simple answer to a question just does not cut it for you. You need to know everything. Thank you for the internet. You love most everything. Just an easy going kid. You idealize your Dad and want to follow him where ever he goes. You are a great example to us and impress us each day. You are going to see and do great things in life! We love you Mouth.
The Dragon
I love to make special cakes for the kids birthday and surprise them.

Wesley loved the surprise and couldn't wait to slay the beast

This was scary to turn the knife over to him.
