Raquel Wilbur was our photographer and she was fabulous. A family of 6 is not easy to photograph. She handled all the interruptions and craziness well. Thanks for the great memories. Here are just a few. We have so many great shots to choose from.

Hogle Zoo
There was a baby elephant. So cute. The kids wanted to stay and watch it play the whole time. I had to remind them of all the other animals there were to see.
Poor Brian he has not been on our fun outings lately he has been working long hours. Government Physical year is ending soon. He is swamped. We wish he could have fun too.
Transportation
CEMENT
I have to tell someone about the funny thing that happened the other day to Preston. There was a cement truck in front of our neighbors house they were fixing a section of the sidewalk. Preston loves trucks and had to watch. I said that he could stay on the front steps and watch. I went back inside leaving him there for a minute. I peaked out the front door to check on him. He said mommy they are done and the truck is gone. Okay I though he is safe and left him to play. I was inside making lunch and not 3 minutes later he came in frantic. I asked him if he is ok and he said "mommy my bike is stuck in the mud". I looked him over and he had gray mud on his shorts and no shoes or socks on. I asked him what mud his bike got stuck in. He said out front. I ran out of the house saw his bike all covered with gray mud on the driveway and looked to the cement. He already got it out by himself. I can't even image the poor child's face trying to get his prize posses ion out of the wet cement. I was horrified. The sidewalk was like a storm in the sea. There wouldn't be a smooth ride over that stretch of the sidewalk. I asked "what were you doing" . He said mommy it was mud. Poor little one. He was so scared the next words that came out of his mouth were "am I going to jail mommy?". He was as scared as me. The cement workers were no where in sight. I wanted to get Brian's cement tools from the garage and try to smooth it out, but after talking to Brian he said that it is more difficult than just smoothing it out. Preston and I tracked down who was doing the work on the sidewalk and they hurried over to fix it before it dried. When Preston said sorry to the worker he was shaking and asked if he was going to jail. The worker laughed and said "no, and thanks for coming to tell me". He was good about the whole thing.
I was worried that I would have to pay for the repair that I didn't get pictures in time. I know I blew it.

UTAH STATE FAIR
Am I blind?
I took the kids, yes all of them to the eye doctor and they all asked "why?" It was an impossible task to keep them away from the glasses. It was a total magnet. They tried on probably every pair. Preston really wanted glasses and he said "when I be blind I get these glasses." I have never heard of children wanting to be blind. Wesley is the only one that needs them a little bit. He is excited, He usually doesn't worry about how he looks, but he whispered to me "do you think I will look alright in glasses?" Bad eyes is probably the only condition that can be blamed on me. I have crappy eyes.
They all looked fabulous in glasses. These were their favorite picks.

First Day of School
Lazy summer days are over and school has to start. We were ready, but with a new school and new friends to make this year it was scary for Wesley and Riley to start. They were brave and with no tears they said goodbye.
Riley is in the 2nd grade.
Off they went to school. Were they excited or scared? I think I was the scared one for them to start school. They came home that first day and said that school was awesome.
Preston started Preschool and was a little nervous, but he road his bike there and sat on his mat with his name and said goodbye. His school didn't start until 2 weeks after Wesley and Riley's and every night he would ask tomorrow my school starts.
